The Geratal Bridge Ichtershausen is a 1121 m long twin-track railway bridge of the new construction line Ebensfeld-Erfurt, located between the line kilometers 177.754 and 178.875.
The beam bridge is situated 15 kilometers south of Erfurt. It spans the Gera at the southern end and at the northern end, crosses the A71 motorway and the Molsdorf-Ichtershausen district road in a sweeping cut at the Erfurt interchange. The track is located at an elevation of approximately 19 m above the valley floor.
