The Ramersdorf subway station is an underground hub in the Bonn Stadtbahn network. It is located at track kilometer 425.9 of the Siebengebirgsbahn and serves as the terminus of the Stadtbahn line from the Südbrücke. The subway station is designed as an underground, three-track junction station.
The formerly above-ground Ramersdorf stop was relocated underground in the early 1980s and opened as a three-track subway station on September 5, 1981, after a long construction period. Just five days after its opening, on September 10, 1981 - the stop was so severely damaged by a train fire that only a single-track emergency operation was possible for another year.
The outdoor facilities, including a Park+Ride parking lot, were created as part of the development measure for the parliamentary and government district.
