Harlingerode station was a through station in the former municipality of Harlingerode. It served as a halt on the Oker–Bad Harzburg line.
Construction work on the railway began on 15 July 1910. The station was opened together with the railway line on 1 May 1912 in the Duchy of Brunswick. The opening of the station was celebrated with great euphoria among the local residents; one of the first passengers on the line and at the same time the only passenger who got off at the newly opened stop was ceremoniously led through the village by the local residents. Many locals had the village decorated as a "celebration" to celebrate the historic event for the town.
