The Evangelical Foundation St. Martin is a hospital in the Southern suburb of Koblenz. Founded in 1844, the foundation hospital has eleven specialized departments with a total of 356 beds and is part of the Gemeinschaftsklinikum Mittelrhein, a maximum care hospital network established in 2014. The hospital area includes a helicopter landing pad, allowing emergency patients to be quickly admitted by rescue helicopter. The clinic is an academic teaching hospital of the University of Mainz. The Evangelical Foundation site employs 1,200 staff and treats approximately 14,000 inpatients and 23,000 outpatients annually.
