Description

The famous scientist Heisenberg suffered from hay fever. He came here to Heligoland at the end of May 1925 to be away from flowers and fields. Besides that he got rid of his hay fever, he also made rapid progress in resolving the difficulties in the quantum theory. He finished his final results of his computation at three o'clock at night and wrote the following: "I was too excited to sleep, and so, as a new day dawned, I made for the southern tip of this island, where I had been longing to climb a rock jutting out into the sea. I now did so without too much trouble and waited the sun to rise."
