Längenloch is a nature reserve designated by the ordinance of the Tübingen government presidium on November 24, 1980, with the number 4.083.
The nature reserve is located in the natural area of Hohe Schwabenalb and lies about 800 meters west of Onstmettingen in immediate proximity to the Geifitze nature reserve. It is completely surrounded by the landscape protection area No. 4.17.001 Albstadt-Bitz. The area is part of both the FFH area No. 7719-341 areas around Albstadt and the bird sanctuary No. 7820-441 Südwestalb and Upper Danube Valley.
