The station building is a symmetrically designed complex with a gable-end central section, which has two full storeys, and two single-storey side wings with eaves. Due to the later addition of an upstream cab for the dispatcher, this original design was disturbed. With the renovation of the station and the modernization of the Odenwald Railway in 2008, this disappeared, so that the original appearance of the station was restored.
