Agricultural or pasture land, gravel pit. After 1945, the rubble from the bombed old town and from Oberhausen was filled in here. Afterwards, the area was used for agricultural purposes again until the 1980s and is now a sports facility, where even national competitions were held, such as the German Championship in vaulting in 1996 and the Golden Scarf of the pony riders in 1997.
Today, riders and horses encounter ideal conditions. However, extensive work with hoes, shovels, and front loaders was necessary beforehand, mainly done by the club members. Since 1995, the site park ("at Dorsten's highest point south of the Lippe") has become a sought-after training ground, suitable for club tournaments and larger events.
