Burgsteinfurt Castle (also known as Steinfurt Castle) is a water castle on the outskirts of the old town of Burgsteinfurt, a district of the Münsterland town of Steinfurt. It is the oldest water castle complex in Westphalia and stands on a nearly circular island surrounded by the Steinfurter Aa river. Today consisting of three building complexes, the upper castle, the lower castle, and the castle mill, the complex has been repeatedly rebuilt and expanded throughout its tumultuous history.
The castle is the ancestral seat of the princely house of Bentheim-Steinfurt.
