The Hohenfriedberg barracks at Sparrenbusch was a barracks in Bad Freienwalde, built from 1935 to 1936 and used by the Wehrmacht, the Red Army, the Soviet Army, and the armed forces of Russia until 1993.
The barracks were named after the Battle of Hohenfriedberg. The Sparrenbusch is a ridge on the slope of the Barnim towards the Oderbruch. The restaurant "Forsthaus Sparrenbusch" was demolished in 1935 for the new barracks construction. The forest, where the barracks were built from the mid-30s onward, bears this name because it belonged to the estates of the family of Otto Christoph von Sparr.
