The Heldenhain is a memorial to the fallen of the First World War in Eberswalde. It is located on the edge of the Oberheide, south of Georg-Herwegh-Straße, and is a listed building.
On the edge of the Oberheide was the "oak grove", which was laid out at the beginning of the 19th century. In honour of the Chief of the Supreme Army Command Paul von Hindenburg, the oak grove was renamed "Hindenburg-Hain" in the war year 1917.
