The Protestant City Church of Our Dear Ladies on the Mountain is a late Gothic church in Penig, in the district of Mittelsachsen in Saxony. It belongs to the Penig parish in the Evangelical Lutheran State Church of Saxony and shapes the cityscape of Penig.
The City Church of Our Dear Ladies in Penig was initially a daughter church of St. Aegidius Church in Penig and has belonged to the patronage of the Benedictine Monastery of Chemnitz since 1313.
The construction of the new late Gothic city church began with the tall, square tower in the northwest corner of the church in 1476. The construction of the church nave as a plastered rubble stone building was completed in 1499 on the exterior; the interior was left without the pillars and vaults. The consecration took place only in 1515.
