The building, which is registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg register of monuments, is located south of Quedlinburg's historic old town, on the east side of Neuer Weg. To the north is the house at Neuer Weg 4, which is also a listed building, and to the south is the house at Neuer Weg 6.
The three-storey half-timbered house has an inscription on the threshold of the first floor, according to which the house was built in 1677. The half-timbered façade is decorated with ornamental forms typical of the construction period. For example, there is a notch cut and pyramid beam heads. The upper floors protrude significantly. In the 18th century, the façade was plastered. North of the house, which is covered with a gable roof, the street line recesses.
