The Evangelical Reformed Church stands on a hill on the banks of the Vecht in Emlichheim, a municipality in the district of Grafschaft Bentheim in Lower Saxony. It belongs to the Evangelical Reformed Regional Church.
The church was built in the 12th century from Bentheimer sandstone. In 1484, the hall church was essentially rebuilt and enlarged to maintain its current form. It has a nave with three rectangular transverse bays and a narrow chancel with one bay and a 5/8 end. The originally two-storey square church tower to the west was built in the 13th century, moved to the north, in front of the west wall of the nave and raised by one story in 1558 and provided with an eight-sided, slate-covered tent roof, framed by an openwork attic.
