As the hiking trail 23 runs on wide forest paths, the approximately 1.5-hour round is also manageable with children. The journey to the starting point is via the road Forstweg in the district of Salzgitter-Salder. Via this road, you reach the edge of the forest on switchbacks. Behind the houses there, a gravel path on the left leads to the hiking car park next to the barbecue area Hasselberg. From the car park, you then have to walk back to the houses to take the access road into the forest to reach the actual start of round course number 23.
