Langendamm-Black Stretch

B 6 traffic light intersection Langendamm / Schessinghausen to Führser Mühlweg along the barracks to the pharmacy; turn left into Ostlandstraße until shortly after the school, then turn right into Rossittener Weg, after about 50 m turn right again to the sports hall of SCB Langendamm. Since World War II until 1990, the Osterberg was a military training area for the Bundeswehr and was then lovingly renatured by the citizens' initiative "Bergheide" together with the Federal Forestry Office Wense. The routes were signposted on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of SCB on July 5, 2008.

There are three routes of 2 km, 3 km, and 5 km in length on wide, natural paths, some sections are covered with sand. Part of all three routes run together. Especially during the heather blossom, from the highest point, the triangulation point (52 m), you have a beautiful view over this nature reserve. Several benches at key points invite you to linger - let your eyes wander and enjoy the idyll.

The 5 km route (black) is the most challenging. Initially, it runs together with the red route, shortly after the 4 m hill, turn right towards the "Planet Path" (a project of the secondary school), then runs parallel to the railway tracks and then further to the lowest point of the route: to the sand pit (26 m above sea level). Here, a height difference of 9 m must be overcome to reach the target in a short continuation together with the 3 km route.
