Höllhöhweg

From the tourist information office downhill to Walching as far as the bridge (opposite the Pfeiffer sports store), cross it and then turn left and after approx. 40 m turn right again into Entenweg past the Hofmann nursery. We then follow the markings Nk5, Nk 11, Nk3, which run together here, to the transformer station on Tradtstraße. We turn left to the last houses and continue on the Nk5 and Nk3 hiking trail, crossing the lift road and continuing uphill. We reach the Sautrift, an open space where we leave the Nk3 trail and continue downhill to the left until we reach the pass road. Here we cross the tarred road and follow the path to the village of Höllhöhe (refreshments available). Passing the Sport- & Wellnesshotel Waldschlößl, the path leads to the Schindldacherl café-restaurant (open weekdays from 5 pm, Sundays/public holidays from 11 am, closed on Wednesdays). From there we walk along the forest path towards Kolmstein. In the village, we follow the village road down the hill, where we have to cross the main road. We walk along a small stream to Mais, where we meet the tarred road, which we follow downhill to the end of the village. At Gasthof Zum Klement (lunch and dinner, closed on Thursdays), we cross the road and walk slightly uphill to Vordermais. There we cross the main road and follow it to the left for a few meters. We turn right onto the hiking trail, which takes us in the direction of the Hofmann nursery to Neukirchen b.Hl.Blut. Alternatively, we can follow the main road to the right in Vordermais, which leads us to the outskirts of Neukirchen b.Hl.Blut and walk through the village to the maypole square, where we turn right, walk up the steps, pass a seating area and finally reach the tourist information office.
