Vom Drachensee ins Chodenland

From the "Festwiese" parking lot, the tour leads towards the city center. After Bayplatz, follow the signs on the right to the outdoor pool. From there, turn left past the "Wildgarten", which is well worth seeing, on a gravel path to Drachensee lake. On the south side of the lake, follow the cycle path towards Eschlkam. Turning left, you pass the Ösbühler Bucht (with the opportunity for birdwatching) to Daberg. After a road crest, turn left towards Hof Lind to the Spálenec (Brennet) border crossing. In Starý Spálenec, keep left and cycle along a gravel path with wonderful views to the tarred road towards Česká Kubice. Before the brisk descent, however, turn sharp right and continue on a gravel road. After a good kilometer, the route descends steeply to the left on a narrow forest path and leads through a railroad underpass. Then follow cycle path no. 3 to Babylon on the right. After an avenue of trees on the left, you come to the dam of the Babylon bathing pond. Cross the main road and stay right on the cycle path. Soon after, turn left into the small village of Pila and follow a narrow sidewalk along a branch line to the northern turning point of the tour in Trhanov. Continue along the road to Pec and before the Holzhauer chapel turn left uphill and through wide forests into the quiet Fichtenbach valley. Past the former barracks, the bikes roll gently out towards Bavaria. Passing Voithenberghütte, you reach the town of Furth im Wald on a rapid descent. The tour is well suited for group tours with different thematic focuses.
