Hohenbogenweg

Through the forest up to Grub, straight ahead and through an extensive forest to Katzenbach, via the road up to Grafenried and then steeply uphill to Burgstall (976 m, summit cross, Bavarian Radio broadcasting tower), the western summit of the Hohenbogen with a magnificent view of the mountains of the Bavarian Forest and the Bohemian Forest. In exceptional weather conditions, the view even extends as far as the Ore Mountains and down to the Alps. Continue together with the local hiking trail Ri1 on the asphalt road to the mountain inn "Forstdiensthütte Hohenbogen" (900 m, refreshments available), downhill on the forest road "Further Weg" and via Oberdörfl, Unterdörfl, Oberrappendorf and Hoferauer Weg back to the Wutzmühle hiking parking lot.
