We leave the picturesque village of Rimburg behind and cross the border (bridge) directly to make this beautiful hiking trip along the border river in Germany. We pass by the vanished village, where now only one memorial stone remembers this hamlet of Finckenrath. Just a small detour to see the different soil layers of the Worm banks and the breeding area of many water birds, and of course the beaver! At Wildnis, it's a bit of a climb since we want to return through the Rimburger forest via the high plateau with beautiful views to the castle and the parking lot where the car is.
