The Dominican Resistance Memorial Museum is a memorial museum honoring all the men and women who fought in one way or another against the dictatorial regime of Rafael Leónidas Trujillo Molina and during the modern regime of Joaquín Balaguer, and to all those families who lost their loved ones during the bloody "Trujillo Era" and the subsequent "12 years of Balaguer," which actually amounted to 22 years (12 and 10). The Museum aims to rescue and preserve the history of all those national heroes who at a certain moment were "forgotten" in the minds of Dominicans.
