DESCRIPTION
It is one of the oldest churches in South America, begun between 1562 and 1565. It presents a mixture of styles such as Baroque, Mudejar, Rococo, Neo-Gothic and Neoclassical. There have been several reconstruction works that have been carried out, the most important being that of 1755 due to an earthquake.
PECULIARITIES
- It houses a large sample of art, painting and sculpture of great artists of the colonial and republican era. The paintings of Caspicara (Manuel Chili) and Miguel de Santiago stand out.

It is allowed to enter the main nave, interior courtyards and one of the terraces, from which it is possible to appreciate the northern part of the historic center. (payment activity)
