El Toro is a Spanish municipality belonging to the province of Castellón, in the Valencia Community. It is located in the comarca of Alto Palancia.
The municipality, the second largest in the comarca, covers two distinct areas. One part of the municipality is situated on the high plateau formed by the municipalities of El Toro and Barracas at their confluence, which has an approximate height of about one thousand meters and is an extension of the plateaus in southern Teruel. The other part of the municipality is located in the area known as Sierra de El Toro, which forms an extension of the Javalambre mountain range. This range presents high altitudes, with some of its mountains rising above 1600 m, making it one of the coldest points in the Valencia Community.
