In the year 1248, by privilege of James I, this place disconnects from the dependency of Daroca, becoming part of the Sesma del Campo de Gallocanta in the Community of Villages of Daroca, which was dissolved in 1838.
The parish church of Santa María La Mayor and the hermitage of San Mamés stand out, featuring 18th-century frescoes and 16th-century panel paintings. It also has the peirones of: San Mamés, the Virgen del Carmen, Las Almas, the Virgen del Rosario, and San Gregorio, as well as paleontological sites.
