Caimari is a small village that is part of the municipality of Selva, located at the foot of the Tramuntana mountain range, between the towns of Mancor de la Vall and Binibona. It has a population of 700 inhabitants. Caimari has a somewhat unclear etymology, possibly of Mozarabic origin. The territorial area assigned since the 14th century has been considerably reduced over time, until it is limited to the west by the road that goes from Selva to the municipality and, to the south, by the stream that flows from the aforementioned road to the bridge of en Blau and the road to Pollença.
