Is an extremely robust. Its color is light brown background, consisting of a series of 18 or more diamonds delimited blaquecinas or yellow scales. At the end of the tail has a rattle called “rattlesnake”, consisting of up to 14 segments strung together, which produces a distinctive sound. The bell size increases with each move, adding a section. The oldest parts are the most worn and eventually detached.
This bell was attributed the power to kill with its glance. It was also believed that the poison could traverse rods or even pass through to kill horses and riders.
