This Cistercian monastery is part of the Cistercian Route, which connects three impressive 12th-century Cistercian monasteries: Poblet, Vallbona de les Monges and Santes Creus. The first two are still inhabited by a community of Benedictine monks and nuns. Santes Creus is, although uninhabited, the best-preserved of the three. Along the route - which you can explore on foot, by mountain bike, or by car - you will be treated to a combination of local gastronomy, crafts, and unforgettable landscapes.
