The Riaza River is a river that originates from the Cancho spring, located in the Pedrosa beech forest, 1 meter from the road that leads to the Quesera pass, within the municipal area of Riofrío de Riaza, and flows into the Duero River on its left bank, in Roa. Its main tributaries are the Riaguas and the Aguisejo, which joins it on the right bank in Languilla. On the left bank, the Barahona stream and the Riofresno join it, close to the Duero. It irrigates a basin of 1,082 square kilometers and travels 114 kilometers from its source to its mouth, crossing the provinces of Segovia and Burgos.
