The Archaeological Museum of the city of Dénia leads through the history of the city, from the beginnings of its urban adventure, 2nd century BC, to the 18th century. This journey is made through a selection of the finds made in the city and its surroundings, along with information panels.
The museum is housed in the former Governor's Palace, the only remnants of the palatial complex within the upper enclosure of the Dénia castle. The building was severely damaged during the War of Succession and was restored in 1984.
