The castle of Polop in the province of Alicante is a fortress of Muslim origin built in the early twelfth century that is located on a hill next to the town.
Of almost circular plant, adapted to the summit of the hill where it is located, it had two enclosures of small size, preserving sections of wall of masonry and mud, although of the outer enclosure there are few remains to have been used as access to the old cemetery located inside.
