The Diocesan Museum of Jaca, inaugurated on August 22, 1970, is located in the rooms surrounding the cloister of the Cathedral of Jaca. Since the 1960s, medieval mural paintings have been discovered in various parishes of the diocese; these Romanesque and Gothic works became the central focus of the exhibition due to their interest and uniqueness. After its closure in 2003 and a thorough reform to implement the Master Plan of the Cathedral of Jaca, it was reopened on February 9, 2010. Its exhibition program includes religious art from the Diocese of Jaca, from Romanesque to modern age. The core of the collection is Romanesque and Gothic mural painting from the churches of the diocese.
