Description

The cemetery of Iznájar is located on the slope of the rock on which the town stands. It offers a spectacular view of the reservoir and the Sierras Subbéticas, something that makes it unique and characteristic. It is as if it were a continuation of the city , with its narrow, steep, whitewashed streets and its tiled tombs.

It is considered one of the most beautiful in Andalusia according to the book "Cementerios de Andalucía" of the Consejería de Obras Públicas y Transportes - Dirección General de Arquitectura y Vivienda de la Junta de Andalucía. Year 1993.

It is also considered one of the most beautiful in Spain , ranking 6th according to "Adiós Cultural" magazine.
