This type of sacramental chapel is actually designed as an annex to a larger church , sharing a façade with the same cathedral while also functioning as a parish church in its own right.
The name Iglesia del Sagrario (Church of the Tabernacle) is used for Catholic churches in several cities in Andalusia and Latin America.
The Sagrari de Granada has a Serra Elvira stone door with three statues corresponding to Saint Peter, Saint Ibon and Saint John of Nepomuk.
In the room next to the main altar , the sculptor José Bada created a beautiful colored marble tabernacle , which currently houses a reproduction of the Immaculate Conception by Master Alonso Cano.
