Bornos preserves a beautiful monumental statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The statue is life size , it stands on a square base in the middle of the square. It is made of light stone and represents Jesus Christ in robe and cloak, the head is crowned with a metal crown. His arms are slightly separated from his body with his hands open to express "welcome and invitation".
In the Plaza Mayor stands the statue of the Sacred Heart, which also houses the Ribera Town Hall and Buda Castle and in front of the Parish Church. They say the statue was placed around 1953, that it used to have a lantern, and that the artist was a foreigner whose name was Brito .
