This small chapel was built in 1701 on the initiative of the Capuchin friar Fra Pablo de Cadiz as the seat of the spiritual association of Our Lady of the Way, hence the popular name Capilla del Caminito (Chapel of the Way). In the mid-18th century this name was replaced by Our Lady of Sorrows.
The main façade, crowned by a bell tower , has a front in white marble , in the space of which stands the 18th-century statue of the Virgin Mary holding the dead Christ in her arms, also in marble.
Inside, the Genoese altarpiece that adorns the priest's heart stands out and was made of colored marble at the beginning of the 18th century. It is dominated by the sculptural group of Our Lady of Fear , a polychrome wooden statue of the Sevillian school made in the first half of the 18th century.
