Description

The former Hospital de la Santa Caridad de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo was founded in the 15th century by the Brotherhood of the Sacred Love of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Today it is the Museum of Fine Arts .

The Hospital de la Caridad or Hospital de la Caridad de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, named after the Brotherhood that ordered its construction, was intended to heal the sick and help and shelter the needy .

With the advent of the War of Independence in 1810, the building was converted into a blood hospital to help the wounded, still under the control of the Brotherhood.
