Discover all benefitsFrom Benidorm, you climb the Alto de Turron Duro (literally: the height of the hard noga). This wide road (CV-70) serves as the tourist access to Guadalest, a picturesque village built on rocks. Except on sunny and festive days, this road is quiet.
Then you head to Beniarda to make a loop around the Guadalest reservoir.
After you eventually climb away from the dam, you descend into the valley of the Rio de Guadalest. Just before crossing the river, you turn right onto a secondary road. This road climbs to the CV-70 via the hamlet of Gines. By the way, it's a steep climb: in 3.3 kilometers you overcome 300 meters of elevation, which translates to an average gradient of 9%! What remains is the steep descent from the Alto de Turron Duro and then the busy roads leading to Benidorm.
