Parc Barbieux (or de Barbieux) is recognized as one of the most beautiful urban parks in France.
Born of the abandonment of an underground canal project in the second half of the 19th century, Parc Barbieux is a veritable English garden covering 34 hectares.
This remarkable green setting boasts an extraordinary natural diversity.
In addition to its 60 species of trees and its water features, which are an invitation to wildlife, the park offers a magnificent walking trail.
A place for leisure and relaxation, it also features a children's playground and a petanque court.
Affectionately nicknamed "Le Beau Jardin" by the people of Roubaix, this listed site has been awarded the "Remarkable Garden" label.
Regular guided tours are available from the tourist office.
