DISTRICT OF THE VILLAS OF BRAY-DUNES
At the end of the nineteenth century, beaches and sea bathing became fashionable. Well served by the railway, it is quite naturally that Bray-Dunes welcomes the first "tourists" of the "good society" of Tourcoing and Roubaix. In the heart of an exceptional environment, hotel,, villas (including "Suzon", "Hortensia", "Theresa" and "Marguerite") are established and ensure the seaside development of the city.
Faced with this enthusiasm, a limited company called "la Plage de Bray-Dunes" was created in 1912, intended to promote the coastal sector. Then in 1928, a real estate limited company will sell the first "turnkey" villas.
