In the vicinity of Dol de Bretagne stands the largest menhir in Brittany, measuring 8.7 meters in circumference, nearly 10 meters in height, and weighing around 100 tons. There are many legends and stories about this stone, for example, "It is a quarter of a mile from the town to the famous stone of field-Dolent. This name recalls human sacrifices (donations)? My guide seriously told me that it was placed there by Julius Caesar. Was that ever in the woods? It is now in the middle of a cleared field. This Menhir is twenty-eight feet high and ends in a point; I measured eight feet in diameter at the base. In total, it is a grayish granite block with a slightly flattened cone."
