The Esplanade is a garden in Metz covering an area of 9,200 m² located to the west of the Metz-Centre district. The Esplanade is bordered on its longest opposite sides by the courthouse and the Arsenal near the chapel of Metz and the Basilica of Saint-Pierre-aux-Nonnains. It overlooks the Moselle valley, the Saint-Symphorien water body facing Saint-Quentin hill.
