This historical museum reopened its doors on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of Paris, on the Place Denfert-Rochereau. Jean Moulin lived nearby; Colonel Rol-Tanguy, regional leader of the FFI, set up his command post in the basement and General Leclerc crossed the square on his way into the capital on 25 August 1944. Divided into several thematic areas, the museum tells the story of the Second World War through that of prominent figures.
