The wolf monument is located near Vouty (Faverolles commune), at the junction of the D973 and the D17 towards Corcy and Ancienville.
It is dedicated to General Segonne's 128th Infantry Division, nicknamed the wolf division for its aggressiveness and bravery in battle.
The Division des Loups particularly distinguished itself here in June 1918, when it halted the German advance, and in July 1918 during the Allied counter-offensive.
A plaque at the foot of the monument reads: "Here the 128th Division stopped the enemy (June 1918) and by a victorious offensive (July 1918) contributed to its definitive retreat".
On the sides, two plaques indicate the various places where this division fought during the Great War.
