Le Grand Saint-Marc

Le Grand Saint Marc is located in Vendôme, 2 km from the town center and close to the shops. Once a priory for Benedictine monks, in the 19th century it became the property of wealthy bourgeois and aristocrats, who built a "Maison de plaisance". Entirely surrounded by walls, the park covers an area of 4.4 hectares. Extensively wooded, it includes a pond and streams, an orchard, a vegetable garden, a fruit orchard, a small vineyard, a 1900 model greenhouse, market gardens... The guest rooms are housed in a Renaissance farmhouse: the Pierre de Ronsard suite, the Joachim du Bellay apartment and the Antoine de Baïf room. Their layout reconciles the imperatives of comfort and authenticity.
