Domaine d'Abbadia

This protected site of outstanding natural beauty, spreading over 65 hectares is the property of the Coastal Conservation Commission, who endeavours to combine public access to the site with the protection of this ecologically rich countryside environment. Through the varied landscapes (high jagged cliffs, heather and gorse heaths, meadows, copses, orchards stocked with ancient and local varieties), the Domaine d’Abbadia offers to those ready to open their eyes the possibility to going back over 80 million years, to the time when the sea was to be found where the Pyrenean mountain chain now stands.
Any removal of samples is strictly forbidden from this biological and geological conservation area.
