A stroll through the heart of the town reveals historic fountains carved in stone. Today, they decorate the streets, but in the past, they provided the inhabitants with spring water. The first three appeared in 1714, to improve the quality of the water supply: the St-Jean Népomucène fountain (rue Hirschauer), the St-Nabor fountain (place de la Victoire), and the Ste-Marie fountain (corner of rue Poincaré and rue de l'Hôpital). All three have similarities: a hexagonal or octagonal basin, each topped by a statue. However, each tells a different story?
