Tijdens een wandeling door het hart van de stad zie je historische fonteinen die in steen zijn uitgehouwen. Tegenwoordig sieren ze de straten, maar vroeger voorzagen ze de inwoners van bronwater. De eerste drie verschenen in 1714 om de kwaliteit van de watervoorziening te verbeteren: de fontein St-Jean Népomucène (rue Hirschauer), de fontein St-Nabor (place de la Victoire) en de fontein Ste-Marie (hoek van de rue Poincaré en de rue de l'Hôpital). Alle drie hebben ze dezelfde kenmerken: een zeshoekig of achthoekig bassin, elk bekroond door een standbeeld. Maar elk vertelt een ander verhaal?
