In 1866, the Chapel of Our Lady of Trust was built in Baerenthal for the small Catholic minority in the village and dedicated to the Immaculate Conception. In neo-gothic style, it houses a statue of the Virgin and Child. It survived the three Franco-Prussian wars without too much damage and remained discreet until 18 May 1960, which marks the opening of the pilgrimage "Our Lady of Trust"
The Chapel of Our Lady of Trust is located on the small heritage trail (3.7 km) in the village of Baerenthal, "Au grès du chemin... notre histoire".
