Symbolizing the communal freedoms acquired in 1126, this belfry is a square tower of stone and sandstone that has retained its medieval base. The elevation dates from the 16th century, and the bell tower from the 18th century. The interior features a prison and 4 superimposed rooms that bear witness to the town's rich history. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, it now houses the Tourist Information Office.
