The Domaine Agroécologique de Barolle - Conservatoire Végétal is an association under the French law of 1901, whose aim is to safeguard and disseminate the plant genetic heritage of New Aquitaine, in particular fruit trees. Its main activities are
- To ensure the conservation, characterization, evaluation, promotion, marketing and dissemination of the specific and genetic heritage of cultivated plants in New Aquitaine
- To ensure the reproduction and transmission of this heritage by organizing its distribution to professionals and private individuals alike
- To develop and promote best practices in the protection, restoration and enhancement of cultivated biodiversity
- To support research aimed at identifying elements in existing plant heritage that are conducive to sustainable adaptation
